Climate Ready Now: imagine

Imagine a Climate Ready future

Before we can build climate-ready communities, we need to imagine what they look like.

That means grounding ourselves in local climate realities, listening to lived experience, learning from community data, and creating a shared picture of what safety, care, and resilience should look like where we live.

When we can name the future we need, we can build a stronger call for the action required to get there.

What could a Climate Ready future look like here?

This is where we start to collectively imagine:

  • What does safety look like in a changing climate?
  • What would help our neighbourhoods feel more prepared and connected?
  • What should local resilience actually include? What does “resilience” mean to you?
  • What do we want our governments to protect, support, and invest in?
  • How do we address the root causes of climate change?

When we can name the future we need, we can build a stronger call for the action required to get there. Take the survey below to get started!

Explore the climate realities (coming soon!)

Explore climate data, local impacts, and resources that can help ground our shared vision in what communities are already facing. This is intentionally a work in progress as we work to build a community archive with everyone who wants to participate.

  • Climate data and local impacts
  • Community stories
  • Resource library
  • Key facts and explainers

Ready to turn that vision into a stronger call for action?

Once we can name the future we need, we can more clearly name who should help pay for it and what governments must do next.
