Past workshops
Galiano Island | Community discussion
Georgia Strait Alliance & Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society – BC Chapter (CPAWS-BC) held a FREE, all-ages event focused on British Columbia’s Coastal Marine Strategy! The session took place on March 1st from 12:30 pm-2:30 pm at Galiano Community Hall on Galiano Island. We went over some of the key goals and actions of the Strategy, discussed priorities for the Gulf Islands, and most importantly, we heard what you had to say about marine conservation issues.
It was an excellent opportunity to connect with community members and environmental organizations on ways to contribute to protecting BC’s valuable marine ecosystems while enhancing the resiliency of coastal communities. Lunch, snacks, and drinks were provided.
