Dana Taylor

Community Organizer

Dana moved to Vancouver from Ontario at the end of 2019, right before the pandemic hit. Before joining GSA, Dana was with “Force of Nature Alliance,” where she worked with municipalities across Metro Vancouver to adopt the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change targets (IPCC), and to create practical steps to reduce emissions at the local level. During the 2019 Federal Election, Dana was part of the “100 Debates on the Environment”, a project that organized more than 100 debates across the country, positioning the environment as an issue that no party or candidate could ignore. She has worked as a Community Organizer since 2015 and is passionate about decolonization being at the core of all of her environmental activism. In her free time, you will most likely find Dana at a rally, reading, or exploring Vancouver. Dana lives on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) people.
