Taken at the head of Toba Inlet, the fjord’s mountains, tidal marsh and wetlands reflect the grandeur and serenity of the inlets surrounding and feeding into the Stait. We are awed by the landscape and think about the nursery and refuge these areas give fish and birds who use the Strait. Interesting because it’s an area with as logging (visible) and a run-of-the-river hydro project in cooperation with First Nations, making us think about how we build a sustainable future for the Strait. Most people think this photo was taken in New Zealand, but it’s our own backyard!
